She gained recognition for her award-winning role in the TV series Pavitra Rishta (2009-2014). She is one of the highest-paid television actors in India and has won multiple awards, including three Gold Awards, one Indian Television Academy Award, and one Indian Telly Award.
Lokhande made her film debut in Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi (2019) and received a nomination for Best Female Debut at the Zee Cine Awards. She has also appeared in the film Baaghi 3 (2020).

Lokhande, born as Tanuja Lokhande on 19 December 1984 in Indore, comes from a Marathi family. Her parents are Shashikant Lokhande and Vandana Phadnis Lokhande, and she has two brothers, Sooraj and Arun, and a sister named Jyoti. After completing her education, she moved to Mumbai in 2005 to pursue an acting career. In her early days, she was a badminton champion. Lokhande gained fame by co-starring with Sushant Singh Rajput in the TV series Pavitra Rishta, and they started dating in 2010. They even spoke about getting married in a 2016 interview. However, they eventually broke up that same year, with Lokhande later revealing that Rajput wanted to focus on his career.
In 2019, Ankita Lokhande announced her relationship with Vicky Jain, a businessman. They got married on 14 December 2021 in Mumbai. Ankita Lokhande Career
After participating in India’s Best Cinestars Ki Khoj (2007–09), Lokhande got her big break as Archana Deshmukh in Ekta Kapoor’s TV show Pavitra Rishta. She portrayed Archana alongside Sushant Singh Rajput and Hiten Tejwani from 2009 to 2014. In 2013, the show took a generation leap, and Lokhande also played Archana’s granddaughter Ankita Karmarkar until the series ended in 2014.
She later participated in reality shows like Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 4 and Comedy Circus ka Naya Daur. She also did a couple of episodes for Ek Thhi Naayka. After a break from acting and her separation from Rajput, there were reports of Lokhande making her movie debut in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat (2018), but she eventually left the project, stating she wasn’t ready for films.
In 2019, she made her film debut in Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, playing the role of Jhalkaribai. The film was well-received and became her first commercial success. She then appeared in the action thriller film Baaghi 3 (2020). Ankita Lokhande reprised her role as Archana Deshmukh in the web series Pavitra Rishta: It’s never too late from 2021 to 2022. She also participated in StarPlus’ Smart Jodi with her husband, Vicky Jain, and won the season. In 2023, she played a woman going through divorce in the film The Last Coffee, receiving praise for her performance.
