Ranveer Singh Wiki Biography:- Ranveer Singh Bhavnani, born on July 6, 1985, comes from a Sindhi family in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. His parents are Anju and Jagjit Singh Bhavnani. His grandparents migrated from Karachi, Sindh (now in Pakistan) during the Partition of India. Ranveer has an older sister named Ritika Bhavnani. His paternal grandmother is character actress Chand Burke, and he is related to actor Anil Kapoor’s family through his wife, Sunita Kapoor (formerly Bhavnani). Ranveer dropped his surname Bhavnani because he felt it was too long and preferred a shorter name for his brand as an actor.
Since childhood, Ranveer had a passion for acting and participated in school plays and debates. However, he initially pursued creative writing instead of acting, as he believed breaking into the film industry would be challenging. He studied at H.R. College of Commerce and Economics in Mumbai and later obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Telecommunications from Indiana University Bloomington in the United States. While in university, he decided to take acting classes and pursued theater as a minor.
After completing his studies, Ranveer returned to Mumbai in 2007 and worked in advertising as a copywriter for agencies like O&M and J. Walter Thompson. He also worked as an assistant director but eventually left to pursue acting. He sent his portfolio to directors and attended auditions, facing challenges and disappointments along the way. Despite the difficulties, he remained determined and persevered, believing in his passion for acting.
